Allotment Gardens

In 1936, the then Parish Council erected a plaque on the allotment grounds to one J.E. Duriez. Mr Duriez had been responsible for removing all encumbrances from the allotment land to allow parishioners to cultivate the land at a nominal rent.

Some 80 odd years later this principle is still upheld by the Parish Council who still manage the land provided by Mr. Duriez. There are 14 plots available and are let at a rent only sufficient to cover utility charges and occasional maintenance.

The allotments are currently well used but occasionally one does become available so if you wish to be added to the waiting list please contact the Parish Council.

See the notice about a rent increase.
